sculptor, painter

Miguel Monegal

Graduated in Biology, his interest in art began as a young man attending painting classes at various academies. His passion for sculpture began more than 20 years ago at the workshop of the sculptor Maria Isabel Ballester, where he attended classes for several years. Later, he continued to train in different courses.
He received a scholarship to attend a course at El Escorial given by the sculptor Julio López. For many years he shared his profession as a biologist along with sculpture, until 6 years ago he decided to dedicate himself exclusively to art in his own Gallery Workshop.
He works mainly modeling clay and many of his works end in casts in different materials: cement, quartz paste, bronze and others. Its main theme is the human being, capturing his concerns, his inner struggle.
